Dino Ruta Ph.D.

A Professor at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Dino Ruta conducts research, training and consulting, supporting executives and entrepreneurs in key decision-making processes, both in corporate and sports contexts. The focus of his professional activities lies in innovating the sports and events ecosystem by generating positive legacies, through human and social capital development methodologies supported by new technologies.

His various projects over the years have led him to be known internationally particularly in North America, Europe and the Middle East on the following topics: Sport and Major Events Leadership, Athletes’ Management, Sports Ecosystems and Olympic Movement, Sports Innovation and Sustainability, Impacts and Legacy of Sport and Events.

In 2013, he founded the Sport & Entertainment Knowledge Center, a research and training center at SDA Bocconi School of Management. At SDA Bocconi he is also Academic Director of the Executive Master in Business of Events (EMBE) with the academic collaboration of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, and Scientific Director of the FIFA Master (International Master in Humanities, Management and Law of Sports). Since 2015 he has been Affiliate Professor of International Sports Management at Columbia University, New York (USA) and since 2018 Affiliate Professor at the Josoor Institute, at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Doha (Qatar).
